Intermediate and Middle School Tests
ISEE
The ISEE exam is used by prestigious private middle and secondary schools, boarding schools and military academies to help determine a student's admission qualifications. The test has five sections, including Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, Mathematics Achievement and an Essay. The essay is not included in your test score, but a copy is sent to the schools you request to receive your scores.
The test dates vary by year and location. For specific test dates for 2007-2008 school year in your area, view the ISEE Student Guide.
7th and 8th Grade SAT
Most students taking the SAT in 7th or 8th grade are competing in the Duke University Talent Identification Program (TIP) or the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth (CTY). These students are encouraged to take the SAT by January of that school year and submit their scores to Duke University or Johns Hopkins University. To help 7th and 8th graders prepare, Test Masters has SAT preparation courses throughout the year.
The SAT is administered seven times a year in the U.S., Puerto Rico, and U.S. Territories, and six times a year overseas.
