Test Masters Student Peter Ye Receives Perfect Score Scholarship at School Awards Night
Houston, TX, May 7, 2007
Test Masters student Peter Ye, a high school junior in the Katy Independent School District (KISD), made a perfect score on his SAT exam on January 27, 2007. He took the preparation course in hope to acquire his fullest potential score. "I'm not sure that I could have done as well, had I not taken the Test masters course. It was very helpful in giving me the confidence needed to perform well on the SAT," recalled the 17-year old.
Peter will receive a $1000 scholarship from Test Masters, which he plans to use after graduation from the Seven Lakes High School, a brand new school only in its second year located in Katy. Peter's counselor Anna O'Keefe very proud of his success commented, "Test Masters gives students an opportunity to go the extra mile and make the most of the skills they have learned".
At an annual Awards Night at Seven Lakes High School on Wednesday May 16, 2007 Peter was presented with the scholarship from Test Masters representatives. Over a 100 local Katy area residents attend the ceremony which included teachers, fellow classmates and parents. The Awards Night highlighted the school's most talented and gifted students on their achievements. Test Masters was the only outside organization present there and was given a very kind and respectful welcome by the high school.
Peter accepted the scholarship award amidst a huge applause from the crowd, which included his parents who were very pleased to witness such a memorable moment for their son. Upon receiving the award his high school principal, Christie Whiteback, also gave him extra acknowledgement on the stage by shaking his hands and giving him a hug.
Medicine, engineering and international business are the three main areas Peter plans to study in college and he is considering University of Texas as one of his top choices. "You might be able to get a good score on the SAT without much preparation, but to get a perfect SAT score; you need to attend programs like TestMasters. It helps!" is one last piece of advice Peter gives to high school students about to take the SAT for college admissions.
