Testmasters Student Achieves Perfect SAT Score
Test Masters student scores a perfect 2400 on November SAT
HOUSTON, TX, January 29, 2010- Test Masters student Pooja Shah is the latest Testmasters scholarship recipient, having locked in a perfect SAT score of 2400 on the November, 2009 test. Shah attends Irvington High School.
“Had I not taken a test prep course, I probably would not have known what to expect on the SAT,” Shah said. “The advice from teachers was very direct and based on a careful analysis of the exam. Also, taking several practice exams was extremely helpful.”
Shah added, “I chose to take a test prep course, because I had a target score in mind, and I wanted to be as prepared as I could. I did not take any other course, because I thought that the skills imparted by Test Masters were more than sufficient for me to reach my goal.”
Advice for Others
When asked if she had any advice for other students that are planning to take the SAT, Shah recommended plenty of practice. ”I would definitely suggest taking as many practice exams as possible, and make sure to practice (with) the experimental section,” she said. “Knowing what to expect on test day is the surest way to alleviate nerves and focus on the questions that Test Masters will teach you how to answer.”
Looking Toward the Future
Shah’s top school choices include Harvard and Yale, and she plans study economics, political science, and anthropology as an undergraduate and eventually to obtain a MBA. For her extraordinary efforts on the SAT, Test Masters will award her with a $1000 scholarship.
