HOUSTON, TX (June 22, 2019) Andrew Wang was resolute on doing his absolute best on his SAT. Only a fraction of 1 percent of students who take the SAT scored a perfect 1600 and Andrew has joined that exclusive fraction. He believes the high quality of study materials and instruction he received from TestMasters played a critical role in his achievement.

“I really like how TestMasters was able to organize and present all the information I needed in a way that is both relatively concise and surprisingly engaging. I don’t think I would have been able to score a 1600 without Tesmasters.”

“The quality of teachers and teaching is probably TestMasters’ most valuable asset. All of the teachers I had were friendly, often funny, and were both knowledgeable at and passionate for their particular subject. Instead of each teacher teaching multiple sections, each focuses on one specific area of the exam.”

Wang was born and raised in Chongqing, China and moved to Houston when he was 11. As a senior at Westbury Christian, he has his sights set on attending John Hopkins University to pursue biomedical engineering because his dream is to uncover the causes of and potential treatments for currently incurable diseases. He remains well rounded by also playing the flute which he has been doing for 6 years. He performs as a soloist with his school band and with a folk orchestra in Chinatown. Most of all he describes himself as a wolfish consumer of information of anything he finds entertaining and worthwhile.

His last words of advice for students prepping for the SAT, “After a certain point, there’s no better way to prepare for the SAT than doing more problems. Of course, it’s paramount to first get a firm grasp of basic rules and concepts of each section, but there is no other way to get accustomed to the time crunch and the specific way the problems are asked than to actually sit down and do a practice exam. This is why the Exam Club is incredibly helpful.”

In recognition of his achievement, TestMasters will award Wang a $1000 Perfect Score Scholarship.
