Anjalie Kini Decimates ACT, Achieves Perfect Score of 36

HOUSTON, TX (March 26, 2018) Anjalie Kini, a Test Masters ACT online course student and junior at the prestigious Phillips Academy in Andover, MA, has absolutely obliterated the ACT, achieving a perfect composite score of 36 on the December 2017 administration of this exam. This accomplishment puts Kini in exclusive company and rarified air, as less than 1% of test takers worldwide achieve a perfect score on the ACT.

On her perfect score and experience as a Test Masters student, Kini says, “I found the videos (especially those on reading and writing, which are the sections which I had been making a couple of mistakes on during practice tests before taking the course) extremely helpful, clear, and useful. The strategies they share for how to tackle the questions are what I attribute my perfect score to.

“Before I took the Test Masters course I was consistently getting 35s (occasionally 34s) on my practice tests no matter what I tried. I imagine this is the score I would have gotten if I had not taken the Test Masters course. I think the course helped me figure out how much time I should be spending on each passage and gave me the strategies I need to get the final few points I needed to get the 36.”

Kini is a very well-rounded student, and involved in several academic clubs. She is on the board of the Math club, the Computer Science club, the Linguistics club, and the Debate club at Phillips Academy. She is also a peer tutor at the school’s math resource center, among several other academic-oriented extracurricular activities. While unsure of which university or college she will ultimately attend, she is certain that she will pursue a career in the STEM field. “I’m not positive what I want to do as a career. I plan to pursue a graduate degree and conduct research and positively impact the community. I’m very interested in computer science, so I know it will involve that in some capacity. I think I will either go into biotechnology or artificial intelligence as those stick out to me as the two most interesting fields of computer science. However, I also find math and economics very interesting so perhaps I will find a way to work on those instead.”

When asked what advice she would give to students still preparing for the ACT, Kini says, “My advice would be to practice, practice, practice. Watch the test master prep videos at least twice. Do all the practice material diligently. Read a lot. Make sure your basics in math are strong. See what mistakes you make in the practice exams and work on correcting those mistakes.”

In recognition of her absolutely amazing achievement, Test Masters will award Kini a $1000 Perfect ACT Score Scholarship.
