Hari Sowrirajan Annihilates ACT, Achieves Perfect Score of 36
Greenwood Village, CO (October 20, 2016) Hari Sowrirajan, a junior at Cherry Creek High School in Greenwood Village, CO, achieved a composite score of 36 on the September 2016 administration of the ACT. This score places Hari in the top 1% of test takers in the world, and enters him into a historically impressive and growing number of Testmasters students to attain a perfect score on the ACT or SAT.
Hari, who completed the Testmasters ACT online course, says, “Without Testmasters, I probably would’ve gotten a 34 or 35 composite. But, like with really anything in life, the last few steps are always the toughest. Testmasters definitely helped me cut down on the silly mistakes that would’ve prevented me from getting a 36.”
On the quality of his online instruction, he says, “The videos were excellent; they were engaging, useful, and helpful. It was essential for me to see some of the thought processes that would best result in the correct answer. The videos allowed me to understand how I should strategically attack the problems to maximize my score.”
Outside of achieving remarkable scores on standardized tests, Hari has a very active life and an abundance of interests. He plays the flamenco guitar, participates in soccer and track, takes advantage of the Colorado climate by snowboarding and hiking, and participates in a myriad of math and science competitions. He has also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, and is a member of the National Honor Society.
While his long term academic and professional goals are not yet completely clear, Hari does know that he would like to attend a competitive undergraduate university and pursue a STEM degree. “I haven’t made up my mind on exactly what I want to study, but it will definitely be in STEM. I love math and its applications; I also enjoy computer science and the opportunities it entails.”
In recognition of his accomplishment, Testmasters will award Hari a $1000 Perfect Score Scholarship.
