Hari Sowrirajan Does it Again! Testmasters Online Student Achieves Perfect Score on Both ACT and SAT!
Aurora, CO (January 13, 2017) Hari Sowrirajan has accomplished the extraordinary. Having already earned a perfect score on the ACT, Sowrirajan set his sights on the SAT and did the same, achieving a perfect score of 1600 on the November 2016 SAT exam. This score propels Sowrirajan to Legendary Status as a Testmasters Perfect Score Student, and places him in the upper echelons of the world’s most elite test takers.
“I had already taken the ACT and received a perfect score, so I figured that since the tests were more similar than different I wouldn’t need much prep. However, I found the reading section of the SAT to be quite problematic and struggled much more than I did on the ACT reading section. Even so, the SAT resources from Testmasters allowed me to reconcile the score difference, specifically in reading, between the SAT and the ACT. Even though I don’t think I actually ever got a perfect score in practice, I luckily got it when it mattered.”
Sowrirajan’s success is unique not just for having received a perfect score on both the SAT and ACT but also by virtue of his status as an online student. He says, “I never attended classes in person, but I did view the study videos that were made by Testmasters’ instructors. The videos were excellent; they were engaging, useful, and helpful. It was essential for me to see some of the thought processes that would best result in the correct answer. For example, in the reading section, the videos allowed me to understand how I should strategically attack the problems to maximize my score.”
Outside of achieving remarkable scores on standardized tests, Hari has a very active life and an abundance of interests. He plays the flamenco guitar, participates in soccer and track, takes advantage of the Colorado climate by snowboarding and hiking, and participates in a myriad of math and science competitions. He has also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, and is a member of the National Honor Society.
Although he knows he would ultimately like to attend a competitive undergraduate university, he has not exactly decided what he will study in college. “I haven’t made up my on exactly what I want to study, but it will definitely be in STEM. I love math and its applications; I also enjoy computer science and the opportunities it entails.”
In recognition of his accomplishment, Testmasters will award Hari with a $1000 Perfect SAT Score Scholarship.
