TestMasters has taught prep courses since 1991. Every TestMasters LSAT course carries a written 10-point score increase guarantee, the largest in LSAT preparation, and every course teaches the same syllabus whether you take it in a classroom, live online, on demand, or one-on-one. This page covers the LSAT as it exists today, the 2026-27 test dates, what each course includes and costs, and how to choose between them. We make you the master of the test, and we put that promise in writing.
The LSAT is the admissions test for law school, administered by the Law School Admission Council (LSAC). It is scored from 120 to 180 and, together with your GPA, is the number that decides where you can go to law school and how much scholarship money you are offered. Two changes in the last two years matter for anyone preparing now.
Since August 2024 the LSAT has no Analytical Reasoning (“Logic Games”) section. The multiple-choice test now has four 35-minute sections: two scored Logical Reasoning sections, one scored Reading Comprehension section, and one unscored variable section that looks like either of those and can appear in any position. LSAT Argumentative Writing is completed separately online; it is not scored, but every law school receives it and you must have one on file before your score is released. Any prep material that still spends a third of its pages on games is teaching a test that no longer exists. The TestMasters LSAT manual and every TestMasters class reflect the current test.
LSAC has ended at-home remote testing for almost all candidates beginning with the August 2026 administration. The multiple-choice sections are now taken at an authorized test center, with limited exceptions for approved accommodations and documented hardship. Plan for a test-center seat: registration deadlines run about six weeks before each test, and the closest centers fill first.
| Administration | Test dates | Scores released |
| September 2026 | Sept. 9-12 | Sept. 30 |
| October 2026 | Oct. 7-10 | Oct. 28 |
| November 2026 | Nov. 11-14 | Dec. 2 |
| January 2027 | Jan. 13-16 | Feb. 3 |
| February 2027 | Feb. 12-13 | March 3 |
| April 2027 | April 8-10 | April 28 |
| June 2027 | June 9-12 | June 30 |
Dates come from LSAC and can change; confirm at lsac.org when you register. Most law schools admit on a rolling basis, so a September, October or November test with a strong first score puts your application in the pile early, when the most seats and the most scholarship money are still available.
One syllabus, one set of materials, one guarantee. Only the delivery changes, so choose the format your week can support.
Ten classes of three hours each, 30 hours of live teaching, with instructors who each teach the section they know best. The classroom course is the original TestMasters LSAT course and the one most Houston-area students choose: fixed class times, a room full of people preparing for the same test, and an instructor who sees your work. Classes are scheduled around each LSAT administration. From $999 with all materials included.
The complete classroom course recorded in high-definition video, taught by the same instructors, for students who need to prepare on their own schedule. Watch, pause and replay for the length of the course; every lesson, exam and solution set is included. The online course is $899 and starts the day you enroll.
The full course, taught to one student: ten classes of three hours each, 30 hours of pure one-on-one teaching, on the days and times you choose, with an instructor whose only job in that room is your score. The private course is offered live online, at the TestMasters office in Southwest Houston, or at your home in the Houston area, from $3,999.
For a student who has already prepared and is losing points in one identifiable place, hourly tutoring in two-hour sessions goes straight at it: assumption questions, parallel reasoning, comparative reading passages, pacing. Available seven days a week, in person or online, from $99 per hour.
Pre-law societies, university career centers and groups of friends can arrange a custom course on their own campus or online, on their own calendar, with group pricing.

Any student who enrolls in a TestMasters LSAT course, attends every class and completes the assigned homework will raise their score by at least 10 points between the first day of the course and the official LSAT. If the improvement is not achieved, the student may repeat the next available course at no additional charge. On a 120-180 scale, 10 points is the difference between a 155 and a 165, which is roughly the difference between the 65th percentile and the 90th, and between a waitlist and a scholarship at most law schools. We publish the guarantee because the course earns it: we make you the master of the LSAT.
The LSAT does not test knowledge. It tests whether you can read an argument, find its structure, and see what would strengthen it, weaken it, or follow from it, quickly and under pressure. Every question type on the test is a pattern that has appeared hundreds of times before, and the released LSATs are the record of those patterns. The TestMasters LSAT course is built on that record.
Two of the three scored sections, so half of your score. The course takes each question type in turn, from assumption and strengthen-weaken questions to parallel reasoning, flaw, principle and inference questions, and teaches the structure that the test writers use to build each one: what the argument has to be assuming, where the gap is, and how the right answer closes it while the wrong answers only look like they do. Then you drill that question type against real sections until you recognize it on sight.
Four passages, one of them comparative, in 35 minutes. The course teaches how to read for structure and viewpoint instead of detail, how to map a passage in the margin so that every question sends you back to the right paragraph, and how to handle the science and law passages that most test takers dread. Time is the enemy in this section, and the course is built around earning it back.
All 30 hours of the course are teaching: every class is instruction and worked problems, not proctoring. You take your full-length timed tests on your own schedule through LSAC’s LawHub, where every released LSAT is available in the real test interface, and bring the results to class; the course teaches you how to pace each 35-minute section, what to do with the unscored fourth section, and how to walk into the test center knowing exactly what the next 35 minutes hold.
Unscored, but every law school reads it. The course includes a complete approach to the writing task so that the sample you send is one you would be proud to have an admissions committee read.
Plan on three to four months of preparation before your first LSAT, and take that first test by the summer or early fall of the year you apply. That schedule leaves room for a retake in October or November if you want one, with scores back before the earliest application deadlines. LSAC limits attempts to five within the current and five previous testing years and seven in a lifetime, and every reportable score goes to every school, so prepare for the first attempt as though it is the only one. Do not take the LSAT “just to see.” The right time to start is when you decide to apply; the course meets you there.
If you have searched for LSAT preparation, you have probably found two companies with this name, and they are not the same company. TestMasters, the brand of Test Masters Educational Services, Inc., is this site, testmasters.com. It was founded in Houston in 1991 and teaches the LSAT along with the GRE, GMAT, SAT, PSAT, ACT, ISEE, HSPT and the FE-CBT and PE-CBT engineering exams, in classrooms, live online, on demand and one-on-one, from offices in Houston, Texas. A separate company, Robin Singh Educational Services, based in California, has used the same name for an LSAT-only program since 1991 and operates at testmasters.net. The two companies are not affiliated, and their courses, instructors, materials, prices and guarantees are entirely different. Test Masters Educational Services holds the federal registrations for the TEST MASTERS mark nationwide and for TESTMASTERS in Texas. If you are looking for the Houston company with the 10-point guarantee and the courses on this page, you are in the right place; if you are looking for the other one, you will find it at its own site. Either way, we would rather you choose with the facts than by accident.
The TestMasters LSAT classroom course meets in Southwest Houston, near the Southwest Freeway and Beltway 8, with private courses available at the office or at your home anywhere in the Houston area, and hourly tutoring seven days a week. Students come from the University of Houston, Rice, Texas Southern, the University of St. Thomas and Houston Christian, and from every law-school-bound workplace in the city. See LSAT course options in Houston for current schedules, or choose your state on the map above for courses everywhere else.
The average is about 152. A 160 is roughly the 80th percentile, a 165 the 90th, and a 170 the 97th. The most selective schools report median scores in the 170s. Every ABA-approved law school publishes the 25th, 50th and 75th percentile LSAT scores of its entering class in its Standard 509 disclosures, which is the most useful number when you are deciding where to apply.
Yes, within six calendar days of the test through your LSAC account, and first-time test takers can buy Score Preview to see the score before deciding. A canceled score is not reported to schools, but the attempt still counts against LSAC’s limits.
Schools see every reportable score, and the large majority report and weigh the highest one. That makes a well-prepared retake a reasonable plan, and an unprepared first attempt a poor one.
Same instructors, same lessons, same materials, same guarantee. The classroom course adds a fixed schedule and a live instructor in the room; the online course adds the freedom to prepare at 6 a.m. or midnight and to replay any lesson.
