Preparing for the FE Civil exam

The FE is computer-based and offered year-round at Pearson test centers. It is 110 questions inside a 6-hour appointment: a short nondisclosure agreement, an 8-minute tutorial, 5 hours 20 minutes of exam time, and a scheduled 25-minute break. NCEES charges $225 and supplies an electronic reference handbook and any specified design standards on screen, so nothing of your own comes into the room. Results are usually available within 7 to 10 business days.

FE Civil spans the whole civil syllabus: mathematics and statistics, ethics and professional practice, engineering economics, statics, dynamics, mechanics of materials, materials, fluid mechanics, hydraulics and hydrology, surveying, water resources and environmental engineering, structural analysis and design, geotechnical engineering, transportation engineering, and construction.

Does TestMasters offer registration discounts to full-time undergraduate students?

Full-time undergraduate students will receive a 50% discount off the regular fee when taking the TestMasters FE-CBT Civil review course with workshops. We will need a copy of your fee slip from the registrar’s office showing that you are enrolled in at least 12 credit hours in the current semester. No additional discounts will be given. The student discount is not offered for the TestMasters PE Civil course.
