New Haven has a strong tradition of independent education, with schools such as Hopkins School and the Foote School in the city and Hamden Hall Country Day School next door, and families applying for fifth or sixth grade may take the ISEE Lower Level. For a young child, the test is long and new: verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, reading, math achievement, and an essay. Test Masters teaches the Lower Level live online to students from New Haven, Hamden, Woodbridge, and Bethany with short, encouraging lessons and clear explanations. Private 1-on-1 tutoring is available, and parents see a progress report after each practice test. Your child can take the ISEE as its master.
