Some families in Elk Grove Village, Arlington Heights, and Mount Prospect apply to independent schools for fifth or sixth grade, and the ISEE Lower Level is often required. For a fourth or fifth grader, a timed test of more than two hours is a lot to ask, so Test Masters keeps live online sessions short and positive, with private 1-on-1 tutoring for children who do better alone. We cover verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, reading comprehension, mathematics achievement, and the essay, and we practice simple habits like checking every answer choice. Parents receive clear feedback after each practice test. With patient preparation, a young student becomes the master of a test.
