The ISEE Lower Level is for children applying to grades 5 and 6 at independent schools, which means most test takers are fourth and fifth graders seeing a formal standardized test for the first time. Families in Lafayette, Youngsville, and Broussard considering private schools, or planning a move to a city where the ISEE is common, can prepare with Test Masters live online. Lessons are paced for young students: vocabulary and sentence completion, basic quantitative reasoning, short reading passages, math achievement, and the unscored essay that schools still read. Practice tests build stamina and calm nerves before the real thing. Private 1-on-1 tutoring works especially well at this age. With patient preparation, even a ten-year-old can walk out as the master of the test.
