Families in Lowell, Chelmsford, and Westford who are considering an independent school for grade 5 or 6 will meet the ISEE Lower Level. Most applicants are fourth and fifth graders, and for them it is usually the first formal standardized test they have ever taken. Test Masters teaches the Lower Level live online in short, friendly lessons that cover vocabulary and sentence completion, early quantitative reasoning, reading passages at the right level, math achievement, and the essay schools receive with the scores. Practice tests help young students stay calm and keep working when a question is hard. Private 1-on-1 tutoring works especially well at this age. With patient preparation, a fourth grader becomes the master of the test.
