Suffolk is home to Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, and families applying to independent schools for grade 5 or 6 may encounter the ISEE Lower Level while their child is in fourth or fifth grade. The test covers verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, reading comprehension, math achievement, and a short essay, which is a lot for a young child to manage on a timer. Test Masters prepares Lower Level students live online, with short lessons, age-appropriate practice, and calm coaching on pacing and educated guessing, since there is no penalty for a wrong answer. Parents receive clear progress updates, and private 1-on-1 tutoring is available for a child who prefers one teacher. Young students who prepare with us arrive ready to master the ISEE.
