Seventh grade is the first year at Montgomery Bell Academy, other Nashville independent schools also admit students in the middle grades, and applicants for seventh or eighth grade commonly take the ISEE Middle Level. It raises the bar on vocabulary, introduces pre-algebra and algebra across the math sections, and asks for quantitative comparisons that reward reasoning. Test Masters prepares middle schoolers from Green Hills, Brentwood, Franklin, and Mt. Juliet live online, with timed practice tests, weekly vocabulary, and essay feedback. Private 1-on-1 tutoring fits around sports, theater, and music lessons, and parents receive an update after each practice test. A prepared seventh grader becomes the master of the ISEE.
