Oahu has a strong tradition of Catholic high schools, including Saint Louis School, Damien Memorial School, Sacred Hearts Academy, and Maryknoll School, and families applying should check each school's entrance testing early in the eighth-grade year. Where the HSPT is used, it covers verbal skills, quantitative skills, reading, mathematics, and language in one long timed sitting, a real test of stamina for a thirteen-year-old. Test Masters prepares Honolulu eighth graders for the HSPT live online, with full-length practice tests, focused vocabulary and grammar review, and pacing strategies that keep a young student steady to the end. Class times fit the islands, and private 1-on-1 tutoring is available. When test day arrives, your eighth grader is the master of the HSPT.
