Chicago's Catholic high schools, including Saint Ignatius College Prep, Brother Rice, Mother McAuley, Marist, De La Salle, St. Rita, Mount Carmel, Resurrection, and St. Patrick, use the HSPT for admission and placement, and eighth graders across the city take it in the winter. Test Masters prepares Chicago students for the HSPT live online, covering verbal skills, quantitative skills, reading, mathematics, and language, with timed practice tests so the pace stops being a surprise. Because placement and some scholarships can depend on the score, we teach the unfamiliar question types, such as number series and analogies, directly. Parents receive a report after every practice test. Your eighth grader can leave the HSPT as its master.
