Bishop Heelan Catholic High School in Sioux City sits just across the Missouri from southeastern South Dakota, and O'Gorman in Sioux Falls is about an hour north, so Vermillion families who want a Catholic high school have real options. Eighth graders applying to many Catholic high schools take the HSPT, a long, quick test of verbal skills, quantitative skills, reading, mathematics, and language. Test Masters prepares Vermillion, Elk Point, and Beresford students live online, starting with short timed sets and working up to full-length practice tests. Parents see results after each one, and private 1-on-1 tutoring is available. Your eighth grader can walk in as the master of the HSPT.
