TestMasters' AP Physics 2 Workshops are the best way to prepare for the exam. They are 12-hour intensive workshops that review topics on the AP Physics 2 exam and explore test-taking strategies and tips. We use practice AP Exam problem sets to get you very familiar with the level of difficulty of these exams. These exam problem sets are reviewed in class for a more targeted approach to common problems. TestMasters wants to help you maximize your score. After taking our workshop, the AP Physics 2 Exam will be a cinch!

We have three separate courses for AP Physics 1, 2 and C. Please be sure to enroll in the correct one.

Course Format:

  • 12 hours: 4 classes of 3 hours each
  • Focus on specific problem areas through the process of working AP-type problems
  • Instructors review Practice AP Exam Problem Sets including multiple-choice and free-response sections
  • Experienced, dynamic specialized instructors

Our  AP Physics 2 Workshop covers the following material:

  • Thermodynamics: laws of thermodynamics, ideal gases, and kinetic theory
  • Fluid statics and dynamics
  • Electrostatics: electric force, electric field and electric potential
  • DC circuits and RC circuits (steady state only)
  • Magnetism and electromagnetic induction
  • Geometric and physical optics
  • Quantum physics, atomic, and nuclear physics

What is the difference between AP Physics 2 and AP Physics C?
AP Physics 2 is a great way to earn advanced placement science credit in high school and earn basic science credit in college. AP Physics C is best for students who are planning on pursuing the physical sciences or engineering in college. Students are encouraged to try taking AP Physics C along with AP Calculus, as many colleges require calculus as a prerequisite for Physics courses. You may be delayed or denied taking next level Physics courses if you don't have your college calculus credit.

Which AP Physics exam should I take?
There are four total AP Physics exams:

  • AP Physics 1: Algebra-based
  • AP Physics 2: Algebra-based
  • AP Physics C: Mechanics
  • AP Physics C: Electricity & Magnetism

Students enrolled in AP Physics 1 should take the AP Physics 1 exam.  Students enrolled in AP Physics 2 should take the AP Physics 2 exam.  Students enrolled in AP Physics C can choose one or both of the AP Physics C exams.

The AP Physics 1 and AP Physics 2 exams are both 3 hours long. The AP Physics C exams are each an hour and a half; 3 hours for both.
