SAT & PSAT Prep Courses in Kingwood, TX

TestMasters is the SAT and PSAT prep course Kingwood students choose. We set records for the number of students who earn perfect SAT scores or become National Merit Semifinalists after finishing our courses, and every one of those results came from the same course we offer your student today, a course built for one purpose: to make you the master of the test.

Take the course from Kingwood without the drive

We do not run a classroom in Kingwood itself; our closest in-person classroom is the The Woodlands / Spring location, close to I-45 and Research Forest Drive. That is why Kingwood families so often choose one of the at-home formats, which bring the same course to your house three ways:

  • Live Online Zoom Classroom Courses. The full class in real time, with the same instructors and the chance to ask questions as they come up.
  • On-Demand Online Video Courses. The complete course on your student’s schedule, to watch, pause and replay for four months.
  • Private 1-on-1 Tutoring Courses. The whole course taught to one student, at your house in Kingwood, live online, or at our office, on the days and times you choose.

What the course includes

The in-person classroom course includes:

  • 10 classes of 3 hours each.
  • A 200-point score increase guarantee.
  • 1,400+ pages of TestMasters course materials.
  • Practice exams with computer-scored feedback.
  • Flexible make-ups for missed classes.
  • Four months of free weekly Exam Club sessions and extra-help group tutorials.
  • Click the red buttons above for pricing for the particular option you want.
  • Group discounts: join with friends and each of you saves up to $100 per person.

Hourly tutoring for one weak spot

Not every Kingwood student needs the whole course. If the points are being lost in one identifiable place, such as advanced algebra or the reading questions, hourly tutoring goes straight at it, at home, online or at our office, seven days a week, so the fix takes hours instead of weeks.

National Merit starts with the PSAT

The PSAT and the SAT test the same material in the same format, so one Test Masters course prepares a student for both. That matters most in junior year: the October PSAT decides who becomes a National Merit Semifinalist, and Test Masters students reach that mark in record numbers. The same preparation raises the SAT score colleges see a few months later, so every hour counts twice. Brought to bear on your own test, that work is what makes you the master of the SAT.

Start as soon as you finish geometry

Most of what the SAT and PSAT test is 8th- and 9th-grade material. A student who has finished high school geometry already knows nearly everything the exam asks, and that is the moment to start preparing. Waiting longer does not help; it only gives students time to forget material they once knew.

The biggest mistake students make is starting too late. Start early, and take the SAT as many times as you need until you apply to college, usually the summer before 12th grade. You control what colleges see: with Score Choice, you send the one score you like, and that is the only score colleges will ever know about.
