Tutoring Overview

Private tutoring is offered seven days a week, 10 am to 9 pm Central Time.
Sessions are scheduled in minimum two-hour segments.
Tutoring can be done Live Online via Zoom, at the TestMasters Main Office, or at your house (depending on location). The cost varies with the format and location.
There is a 10% discount for 10 hours purchased at once.
There is an additional discount (up to 45% off) off for 2-on-1, 3-on-1, or larger small group tutoring sessions. (See table below.)

Tutoring can be used for a variety of needs, including:

Test Preparation (e.g., SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, LSAT, ISEE, HSPT, etc.)
School Help (e.g., Physics, World History, Calculus), AP Exam preparation, Credit-by-Exam (CBE) Preparation (UT & TTU), and General Academic Support (e.g., Study Skills, Writing Improvement, Academic Advancement)
College or Grad School Admissions Help – including Applications, Essays, and Interviews

Locations Explained

Live Online – These sessions are conducted virtually, typically through Zoom or WebEx.
At Office – This refers to the TestMasters Main Office (map link), which has 23 private tutoring rooms designed for comfortable, distraction-free sessions. Although TestMasters has other physical locations, most are heavily used for classroom courses and may not be available for tutoring.
At Home – This refers to any location off-site from the TestMasters Main Office. Most students choose to meet at home, but sessions may also be arranged at a local café, library, another TestMasters location (if available), or another mutually agreed-upon location within 50 miles of the main office.

Package Policy

Hours purchased in a package can be used as needed rather than scheduled all at once.
Hours may be allocated to different topics—for example, 2 hours for test preparation, 4 hours for admissions, and 4 hours for school help.
Unused hours can be transferred to siblings.
Package hours are valid for one year from the date of purchase.

Private Testing Options

TestMasters also offers private test administrations via a live proctor seven days a week.

What Is Included in the Private Testing Options

A private, live proctor administers the test to you.
You are provided with the test questions and solutions (if available) after the test.
The test is subsequently graded by our offices (if applicable).
You are emailed a computerized score report within 48 hours.

Extended Time Policy

The flat fee 3-hour testing covers the first three hours. For students requiring additional time (e.g., 504 extended-time testing), additional time is charged as follows:

Online via Zoom: $49 per additional hour
TestMasters Main Office: $59 per additional hour
At-Home Administration: $69 per additional hour

Other Scheduling Guidelines

To book a session, we require at least 48 hours’ notice before the scheduled start time.
Sessions are charged at the time of booking and, once booked, are nonrefundable.
Changes to the date, time, topic, or location of a tutoring session may be made with at least 72 hours’ prior notice.
Please note that a change in location may result in a price adjustment in accordance with the pricing policy above.
While we cannot guarantee a specific tutor, you are welcome to request one, and we will do our best to accommodate your preference.
Most families choose the 10-hour package because it offers the best value. It includes five 2-hour sessions that can be scheduled as needed. For example, you may purchase 10 hours and schedule just one session initially; the remaining sessions will be kept as tutoring credits, which may be used for up to one year from the date of purchase.
